Build Progression (League Starter)

The Lightning Infernalist offers a smooth, gear-light leveling experience that doesn't require expensive uniques. However, the right Path of Exile 2 Items - such as wands with spell damage or Path of Exile 2 Currency mana regeneration gear - will dramatically accelerate your progress.

The build transitions across three phases:

1. Early Game (Level 1-40): Contagion, Unearth, and Skeleton Warriors.
2. Midgame (Level 40-65): Essence Drain becomes your main single-target skill.
3. Late Game (Level 75+): Lightning Warp and Ball Lightning dominate in Demon Form.

1. Contagion

Your bread-and-butter Damage-over-Time (DoT) spell for early progression. Cast Contagion on enemies to spread Chaos damage across packs.

2. Unearth

Unearth summons Bone Constructs from corpses, serving as both damage dealers and distractions.

Duration: 15 seconds

This synergizes beautifully with Contagion for crowd control and survivability.

3. Skeleton Warriors (via Rattling Scepter)

Summon durable Skeleton Warriors to tank incoming damage. They're your lifeline in early acts.

Skeletons buy you valuable time while your Chaos spells work their magic.

4. Essence Drain

A crucial single-target Chaos DoT projectile unlocked midgame.

5. Lightning Warp (Late Game)

The centerpiece of your Demon Form transformation. Lightning Warp teleports you into enemies, detonating massive bursts of Lightning damage.
