One trial that trips up a lot of people is the Old Town damage task, mostly because the map doesn't spell it out in any helpful way. If you're loading into Buried City with ARC Raiders Items already sorted and just want the objective done fast, head for the south-east side of the map. Don't overthink it. The best landmark is the bridge by Grandioso Apartments. That crossing is the bit that matters. Stay north of it and you're still in West Village. Push across it and you're in Old Town, where the trial finally starts counting the damage you deal.
How to know you're actually there
You'll notice the area looks rougher almost right away. Old Town has that buried, broken look to it. Sand everywhere, half-collapsed buildings, awkward sightlines, lots of dead space between cover. It doesn't feel like the cleaner parts of Buried City. Still, don't just trust the scenery, because it's easy to drift over a boundary without realising it. Watch the left side of the screen when you move in. The game flashes the district name for a second, and that little pop-up saves a ton of wasted ammo. If it doesn't say Old Town, keep moving until it does.
Best targets for quick progress
Once you're in the right district, the easiest way to build damage is to stop chasing tiny targets and look for Bombardiers first. They're bulky, they take a beating, and that's exactly what you want for this kind of trial. You don't need a fancy route either. Just sweep the streets and open sections, listen for combat audio, and stay ready to reposition. Bombardiers also tend to bring Spotters into the mix. Those little things don't live long, but they still count, so it's worth snapping them out of the air instead of ignoring them. A lot of players waste time hunting only the biggest enemy in sight. It's usually faster to damage everything that crosses your path.
Staying alive in Old Town
The bigger problem in Old Town isn't finding targets. It's surviving long enough to leave with your loot. The district gets messy fast, especially if another squad hears your shots and decides to third-party the fight. Don't plant yourself in the open. Fire, move, reset. If your bag is filling up or the trial is done, stop stretching the run for one more kill. That's how raids fall apart. Bring a Raider Hatch Key if you've got one, because the hatch near the western side of Old Town can save your run when the timer is getting tight. I've had matches where that shortcut mattered more than any armour or ARC Raiders weapons I brought in.
