Levels 1–9: Air Runes

Method: Craft air runes at the Air Altar near Falador.

XP: Very low but fast to unlock higher-tier runes.

Tips: Use small pouches if available.

Levels 9–14: Earth Runes

Craft earth runes at the Earth Altar. This stage is short and mostly a stepping stone.

Levels 14–44: Fire or Cosmic Runes

Fire runes: Crafted at the Fire Altar near Al Kharid (convenient with ring of dueling teleports).

Cosmic runes: From level 27, craft at the Cosmic Altar in Zanaris. Profitable and solid XP.

Levels 44–54: Nature Runes

At level 44, players can craft nature runes, one of the most profitable methods in OSRS.

Double natures at 91 are legendary for profit.

Levels 54–77: Law Runes

Law runes are crafted at the Law Altar on Entrana.

XP rates are slow, but law runes are in constant demand for teleportation spells.

Levels 77–91: ZMI Altar

The Ourania (ZMI) Altar provides mixed runes with significantly higher XP rates.

Not as profitable as dedicated rune types but excellent for faster training.

Level 91+: Double Natures and Beyond

At level 91, players unlock double nature runes, one of the most profitable methods in the game.

At level 95, players can craft double astrals.

At level 99, the prestige and profits make Runecrafting one of OSRS Accounts for sale the most rewarding skills to master.
