Elite Version Mechanics

The elite Giant Centipede retains the same attacks but becomes significantly more dangerous:

Higher Damage Output: The lunge can severely injure or outright kill lightly armored players.

Faster Action Speed: Shorter wind-up times make dodging harder.

Larger Health Pool: Extends the fight, increasing the chance of Dark And Darker Gold getting hit by poison stacks.

Elite encounters demand precise movement and quicker reaction times, especially when transitioning between dodging melee lunges and ranged projectiles.

Strategies for Fighting the Giant Centipede

General Tips:

Always maintain lateral movement; standing still makes you an easy target for poison projectiles.

Avoid fighting near narrow choke points, these limit your dodge options and make poison pools harder to avoid.

Bring poison resistance gear or consumables if available.

Solo Players:

Use ranged weapons to safely chip away at the centipede's health while avoiding lunges.

If going melee, stay glued to its sides or back, moving in tight circles to avoid the projectile attack entirely.

Save burst damage skills for moments when it finishes a lunge or recovers from firing projectiles.

Party Play:

Assign one player to bait melee lunges while others attack from the rear or flanks.

Have a ranged teammate ready to punish when the centipede flees and drops poison pools.

Keep communication active, calling out attack patterns helps the group dodge in Darker Gold sync.
