Ask around after the Lord of Hatred launch and you'll hear the same thing: builds don't feel locked in place anymore. Before, a lot of players picked the "right" skill path, chased the "right" diablo 4 items, and ignored half the tree because it just didn't pull its weight. Now the game pushes you to mess about a bit. A skill point can change how an ability behaves, not just bump a number up....
